SongSmash Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026

SongSmash is a music party game for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles. The short version: SongSmash collects no personal data at all.

What we collect

Nothing. SongSmash has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We operate no servers, so there is nowhere for your data to go.

What stays on your device

Your game setup — team names, team colors, music filters, difficulty, and target score — is saved only on your device so the app can remember it between launches. It is never transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Apple Music

SongSmash finds songs and plays 30-second previews using Apple's own music services (MusicKit / the Apple Music catalog). These requests go directly from your device to Apple and are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. SongSmash asks for Apple Music access permission only so Apple's framework can determine your country's music catalog; the app never reads your music library, playlists, or listening history, and works without an Apple Music subscription.

Children

SongSmash is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of SongSmash ever changes what data it handles, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change.
